Columbus inspector general refers Commissioner Crawley's free concert tickets to the state ethics panel

Franklin County Commissioner Erica Crawley took six free tickets to the July 2 Salute 250 concert, which the county backed with $250,000, and the city's Department of Inspector General has now formally referred the matter to the Ohio Ethics Commission. The state auditor also says it is reviewing the tickets and parking tickets tied to county vehicles linked to Crawley.

It puts a sitting county commissioner's use of a taxpayer-funded sponsorship in front of two state reviewers at once.
